I will be taking a youth hunting for deer and she can not shoot a 20 guage slug gun. So i figured you guys could tell me what the lightest load I could use for an omega. I will have her set up so 50 yards will be max. So like which bullet, powder. thanks!!!!

I would propose 80 - 90 grains of Pyrodex and a 200-250 gr projectile of your choice. 50 yards is close in, you can reproduce effect of a magnum hunting handgun with a 200-240 gr at 1100-1300 fps. Don't worry about expansion - if you punch thru a deer with a .44 - .50 cal slug it will go down.
The lighter bullets will give significantly less felt recoil, all should be a lot less than a 20 ga slug. If a 20 ga has a 3/4 Oz slug[?] its over 325 grains at maybe 1400 fps - dramatically more recoil than you will feel out of the Omega with starter loads.
I say Pyrodex since I do not use Triple-7, do not know what the 'equivalent' load would be. My flintlock uses 80 grains BP/Pyrodex and a 350-370 gr Maxi ball, 80 gr with a lighter bullet will get it out there fine.
I would start with 80 gr and a 240, should get it done at 50 yards.
