Well, I'm trying to size up my 1st atv purchase. I have looked at the Artic Cat 375 4x4 auto and the Polaris 400 Sportsman, but can't make up my mind. Looking for input from you guys. I would like to hear both positves and negatives. Thanks.

i test rode both of those machines before i bought a new 1 and if i had to choose between the 2 i would go with the polaris. i personally didnt like the artic cats they felt cheap to me i didnt like the way you shift into 4-wheel drive the controls felt cheap.thats my opinion.i ended up buying a suzuki 500 vinson for 200 dollars more then the sportsman and it has more power.i would say buy what you fell is best and i say check out all the lines first if you want to check out suzuki and are in the mid-michigan area try mt.pleasant forgein car and suzuki they have dirt trails they let you test ride on and they deal they came down 500 bucks on my machine.good luck

I just bought a sportsman 400 and absoutly love it. Not that you ever would but I hear the polaris has the highest resale value.
I think I would go with the sportsman!

Love my 500 automatic Artie Cat . I've had it for 3 winters now, hunted with it, fished with it, and plowed a ton of Allegan County lake effect snow with it. Great Machine and cheaper than the Polaris.
