Does anyone know what score they give the 100 grain hypershock, I can not seem to find it anywhere. I am currently using the shockwaves and rocky mountain snypers and have killed deer with both of them.

I give them a zero. I tried one on a doe last year, and never found her :( . She was qurtering a little, but when the arrow hit it pivited along her side, instead of penitrating. I never found the arrow, either but I am sure I didn't get any penitration. I swithched back to thunderheads, and killed two 8 eights that total went 60 yards. My opinion is stay away from mechanicas, but especially hypershocks.

Test after test show that snypers are extremely accurate and get superior penetration. I would not hesitate to use them. I primarly hunt with rockets: the steelhead (another great penetrating head) and the sidewinders.

This site put a score on a whole list of broadheads. My personal preference is the 100 grain Thunderheads. I have been using them the last 15 years and have killed many deer with them.

sounds like your bad shot placmnet to me, not bad broadhead

I have shot and killed several with the aftershock heads found them to kill quite well there are pics in my gallery of a doe kill with he 80 grain inside and out showing the damage..........

I don't want to get into an agruing match, but I put that arrow right on the money. It was a twenty yard shot, and I was shooting about 265 fps. She was quarting slightly, but with my thunderhead I would have taken her down in under 100 yards. If it was a perfectly broadside shot everything probally would have been fine.

As for your picture, I have seen pictures, thats what made me buy them.

Don't speculate on what happened, I was there and witnessed it!

not a big fan of hypershocks either, have a friend that got 7 inches of penetration on a doe last year at fifteen yards, not a bone touched

I didn't check out the links that other posters put in, but I have corresponded with '5Shot' ..Chris Fitch of Virginia .....his site is now a subscription site where you pay $10 (I think) to access his tests on an assortment of products in addition to his famous broadhead tests.

I think you could google up '5Shot' and find him in a hurry. He does a great job, I am a fan. Wouldn't dream of switching heads without first consulting 5Shot.

Thanks guys, I really like the snyper head and the clean cutting damage it does but don't care for the tip on it. I have had a couple of them bend all the way down into main frame part of the body, not impressed with that part. I have killed 6 or 7 with the shockwaves and have not bent one yet, just replaced the blades after every deer. I was looking for a score number on the hypershocks 100 grains like 5 shot rated rated snyper and shockwave, just can't seem to find it. The more I think about it, it's just that guys opinion and testing anyway. Last year I shot a 8 point that was in my mock scrape, he took about 5 steps and I watched him die right there:yikes: Replaced the blades on the shockwave and killed a 6 point with the same head in the same stand a week later, he never made it to the mock scrape:D my freind uses a cross bow and he will be using the 125 grain aftershocks this year, so I guess I just wait and see what damage it does for myself.
