As a result of the many misrepresentations and obtuse interpretations, the fallacious and highly suspicious so called "science" espoused by unqualified "experts" in their releases to the media for the purpose of creating false public perception with regard to the age old and still mysterious malady tuberculosis, the Select Study Group (SSG) of the defunct Concerned Citizens of Presque Isle, Alpena, Oscoda, Alcona, and Montmorency Counties TB Infected Zone (CCPIAOAMCTBIZ) has been reorganized and revitalized for the express purpose of providing and disseminating information to the public that refutes, and in many cases actually disproves much of the "official" propaganda supplied by the "PR" Profession and the many "spin doctors"connected with the Bovine Tuberculosis Program.

Steve I think this is Dr Fairbanks speaking before about Dnr appointed " spin doctors". Maybe he has some real stuff and a lot of things are going to be different this year.
The Dnr said that they wouldn't test for it but would keep it's eye out for it. Some were tested in 452 a while back for CWD but tested negative......marty:D

I, admittingly, don't even have good knowledge about TB. I do know I don't want it in Michigan's deer herd.
If the "spin doctors" are providing and disseminating false"official" propaganda, then what is there to ensure that this Select Study Group (SSG) is not providing and disseminating false propaganda too?
As with anything, different groups can always find "experts" that can state and show studies, information and evidence that supports their own particular groups views.
The biggest thing I want to know is how to prevent more and get rid of what we have as far as TB or any other disease that effects our deer herd. I don't think anyone has that answer for sure yet but the DNR is not just sitting on their hands and doing nothing either. It doesn't matter how it got here, it matters that we are doing something to try to stop it. That is why I basically support the states efforts, to date, in the actions taken.
