I'm in the market for a new rest and some new arrows. I'm currently shooting the old TM hunter style release with an overdraw, but I'm sick of poor groups because of the shorter arrows, and I want to switch to a drop away rest. I've been looking at the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone, but know nothing about it. Anyone have success with it, or recommend another fall away rest? I'm also looking for new arrows, I was shooting the carbon supremes for the last two years, and they worked well, but I've torn fletchings and broke them, so its time for new ones. Any suggestions on that area too? Thanks.

I have been using a rip cord drop away for three seasons with no complaints or problems. I am currently shooting easton st axis 340 carbons for the last two seasons with no complaints. Prior to that I was shooting carbon express extreme hunters. Both seem to be good arrows the eastons are a little bit lighter, around 1.5 grains per inch.

This QAD Ultra Rest will probably be my next rest - I shoot a Muzzy Zero Effect now and like it but ....... This offers total containment and zero contact upon release (unlike the WB).

This model is pricey - about $120 - but they make a much cheaper version too.

Drop Zone is solid, Trophy taker is what I use and I've never had an issue in 4 years.
GKF TKO is a great value and can be converted back to a TM if your not into it.
I would steer clear of the NAP drops and the Trap Door's myself.

This is an awesome and SILENT rest. I have tried several other popular rests recently and this is by far the best.

Thanks guys for all your input, I ended up going with the Trophy Ridge Guide Series Drop Zone, and the carbon express maxima arrows. I looked for the QAD rest, but they didn't carry that particular model. I had a gift certificate to Bass Pro, so I was kind of stuck going through them, but overall everyone there had good things to say about it. I guess the earlier models were a little noisy by the sales associates claims, but they've installed dampening devices to quiet them down consierablly. I'll report my findings on both the rest, as well as the arrows.
