Got the Whisker Bisket Rest this year and so far I like it. The one draw back is it makes a bit of noise on the draw. Anyone have the same experience and any idea's on how to quiet it down?

I have used a technique that seems to work well with finger style rests. Even with moleskin on the fingers there was still some noise when extremely quiet out., I think this might be worth a try on the WB. On my hunting arrows I put a little cooking oil on a paper towel and wipe the shaft (very light coat. It virtually removed any remaining noise for me. I do this just before hunting season otherwise the oil starts getting sticky. After season, I wipe same down with dishwashing soap and water on a paper towel so they are ready for next year.Another thing that I found out (costly mistake) was buying hunting arrows with the "buff tuff" finish. It was not completely smooth and set up harmonics when drawing the bow back....cost me a deer. Advice for this is to feel the arrows before you buy them the ones I originally purchased had distinct "ribs". Try it ( the cooking oil) on a target arrow first and see if it works out for you before

What arrows are you shooting. The differences in surface finish will make a big difference. The smoother the quieter.
Theres a few old threads on the site that talk about this and give some pointer on things to do like steel wool or 1000grit sandpaper to smooth the arrows.
I think I've even seen it recommended to rub a little vegetable oil into the shaft.
I may be switching arrow so I'm going to try and find the old thread. If I do I'll post a link

I used to use Gold Tip arrows and I had the same problem. I switched to Beman ICS hunters in black and now my draw is pretty close to silent.

Yup, It's The Arrow Finish....... I Have Carbon Express 6075 In The Camo Shaft.. They Have A Rib Effect In The Finish Of The Shaft And I Can Hear Them When I Draw.... Next Dozen Will Be Something Different.......

The qtip rubbed around the biscuit is a good one. A thin strip of mole hair just down the center will work. Armourall your shafts will help too.

I used aluminum with the WB for years and just switched to CarbonExpress Max, and there is virtually no noise whatsoever. The aluminums were just a tad noisy but it didn't bother the deer. I shot a few with aluminums, but switched to carbons just to see how well they flew. The carbons are by far the best arrows.

Yep - my Goldtips Expedition Hunters 5575's are noisy with the WB. I've tried waxing, Vasoline and silicone and still get noise. Someone the other day told me to use automotive "Wire-Dry" - may have to give it a try.

I have drawn back within 6 feet of a deer with the WB and had no ill affect. I can't tell the difference between that noise and a leaf in the wind. If you are worried do the moleskin deal.

I have never had a noise problem with Easton Epics, Gold Tip XT Hunter , or Carbon Express CX-300's when using black shafts .
The arrows and disc need to be clean and free of dirt , and the rest needs to be mounted square with the arrow .

Ok guys,
I started this thread. I shoot easton explorer with camo shafts. These made a lot of noise when drawing with the WB. I tried the super fine steel wool on the shaft and it went from louder than Heck to totally silent. It worked great. Thanks for all the great suggestions. I really appreciate the help!
