Here is my problem, I draw the bow above the target, put my finger on the trigger and then my bow arm settles about four inches @17 yrds. and cannot get back on target without flinching. I have shot bows for years and never had this problem. Was wondering if anyone can help me out on correcting this problem.. Thanks !!

Take your finger off the trigger and raise your bow arm up.
Do it alot....

That's one of the symptoms of target panic.

What are you shooting at?
Vegas 3 spot?
Round bullseye target?
Square?
Try changing targets and try to not "try so hard" for starters.

Your mind is tying itself in knots trying to remember all the things you need to do to hit the X and your subconcious says "I'm done".

If you push it you'll end up a "drive by puncher"...that is, punching the trigger as your sight enters the X on the way through.

Nota very effective way to shoot...I know.

The sure cure is long...try the bandaids first....but know when to say "when"

one thing that might help, try putting more weight on your back foot, that seems to help me raise the pin easier.

Good Luck,
Ben

Sounds Ugly:dizzy: Target Panic

Try some blind bale shooting. Get close 5-6ft and shoot without looking just feel the shot. Also remember to relax, this is supposed to be fun.

target panic.:yikes: try forcing yourself to hold or hover on the target for 12 seconds then slowly squeese the trigger.

I had the same problem a few years back although I wasn;t only 4" high. I was a foot or more.

One thing I did was draw the bow back with no arrow. Over and over and over an over.....................you get the picture. I taught myself to hold on the target and not immediately think SHOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After a while I got better and no longer have that problem. It takes time so don't get frustrated. You'd be surprised at first how when you get close to the bull your instictively want to release even without an arrow so keep your finger away from your release trigger.

Best of luck.
