impeller question for 90hp johnson

as a precausion im gonna replace the impeller for my motor i read the manual but would like any pointers anyone has as to grease this lock tite that oh yeah where do i disconect the shifter cable if at all ?any helpful hints wound be greatfully apreciated thanks.

Just as a precaution, when you install the new impeller, coat it with vasoline so that upon first start up there is some lubercation prior to the water pumping in. It will save a bit of wear on the new propeller.
