i shoot BOSS SST's by wasp, 100 gr. does anyone else shoot these? i like them. they fly right with my fieldtips. how do they perform on deer?

AND i can't seem to find just the replacement blades anywhere. i looked at gander mountain in grand ledge and they only had 3-4 broadheads out.

I shoot the Hammer SST 3 blade 100 grain, and they rock! Wasp is a quality broadhead so it's no surprise that you'll most always find them on the shelf at archery shops. Field and Stream listed them among their top picks last month. And for $30 for 6 they won't break you. I've experienced many double lung pass thrus with them.

Finding replacement blades is hit and miss, so I snag them up when I do find em. If you really need them bad you can order them direct from Wasp Archery:

Good Luck!

I use them and at 260ish fps or so, they fly great out of my Ultra Tec. I've bumped the speed abit this year to the high 270's or so and I'm about to see how they fly now. Bow is perfectly tuned and shooting great so I have high hopes. They are a quality broadhead, no doubt. I did not take a deer with them last year, but I took a booner of a Groundhog that was living underneath my shed. Took him through both shoulders at about 25 yards....lots of blood. The blades were nicked up a bit but the tip and the ferrel looked great. Penetrated up to the fletching....but thank the dirt for not allowing a clean pass thru. Admittedly, a Groundhog is not much of a test, but they are a solid little critter! I'm after another right now.....going to see how the 80 grain Aftershock mechanical works on this one.

Wasp does not get the fanfare of the Muzzy's or some of the newer names on the market, but they have been around a long time for a reason.

If for some reason I choose not to use them this year, I'll send ya some extra blades....I'm pretty sure I have some replacement blades somewhere....I'll have to check. I thought I picked some up last time I saw them for the same reason...hard to find on a retailers rack.
