LSC Thursday morning

:fish: Hit the water by 7am and the bite was on. Planted ourselves almost directly out from the Ford's cove in about 15ft of water, all by ourselves. There were at least 10 others when we left. Gave it up at 10 and had 60 in the box and tossed back at least 40. Nothing real big, maybe an 11, but a lot of nice fat 9s and 10s.

Big Laker stopped by on his way in and had to show off a nice 14 incher. He had a few too. Nice fish.

Water was nice and clear and hopefully some of the bigger ones will start showing up with some cooler nights.

Tom- I took my buddy Pete Shummer out as it was his first fishing trip since his shoulder surgery. I started fast-but he caught all the hogs ( on my equipment I might add) 1@ 12.5" & another @ 13.5". Fat females with eggs,minnows & crayfish in them. We quit at 950 am, as I had to clean the lot. 47 was the total. What a great time we had on glass smooth waters. Thanks for giving me your report as well. Will be back out tomorrow with Capt Perch on the 21 footer.

ive been fishing the b bouy lots of small ones think i may have to join you guys out their in my backyard lol sounds like the fish are a little bigger

Wish I could make it out with you tomorrow dave...but work calls....and then the river!!:D would have taken the day off except for the forecast of higher winds!! Great job on the fish today....Glad to see Pete didn't loose that magic touch with that sore shoulder!!

I have been out a couple of times walleye fishing on the Middle channel in the past week in the evenings. Only caught a couple each time trying jigging (with stingers) and harnesses with Gulp. Surprisingly, I did catch a 15 pound catfish on Gulp. Boy did he take a long time to fight and get close enough to see what it was.
