Hopefully you have the serial number from the bow. Take that serial number to every archery dealer in a 50 mile radius and ask them to help you try to catch the thief and retrieve your bow. Help them identify it by providing them with a list of the equipment which was on the bow. Sights, etc. Somewhere, someplace, sometime, that thief is going to try to get something done to that bow and/or try to sell it. Notify all the local pawn shops too.
I'd also check to see if there were any business's that may have had any type of video of the area.
Reading that just ruined my night.
I hope you can manage to get set up for the season.

Something you might want to look into here. A friend of mine got his bow stollen out of his truck about 3 years ago. He went to his auto insurance to see if it was somehow covered. They said no, but home owners insurance should, even though it was not in his home at the time. The home owners insurance did cover his bow, and all the equiptment right down to arrows and case, minus deductable of course. So he was out like $250...much better then being out well over $1000. Call your insurance and find out, I know I would!!!! Time for them to give back some of that over priced premium money!!!
Now before all the insurance pros tell me I'm totaly wrong...I'm just passing along what I know happened. I'm sure there may be more to it, but I know this was what happened to him, so there!!!
P.S. They may pro rate everything, so when your insurance tells you to get the itemized bill together, make sure your local archery pro goes with MSRP, because I know that's what you paid for everything, now which rest did you have? ... ;)

Your homeowners or renters insurance should cover it. Mine covers my treestands etc.........even if they are still in the woods.
OR
Full coverage on your vehicle might as well.

Sorry for you loss!
Where exactly in Howell did this happen? My son has many acquaintances
in and around Howell and I will have him put the word out around town.
Was the @$$hole a young guy or older?
PM me if you wish.
