I've been shooting Carbon Express CX arrows. I needed some more shafts and stopped by BPS and noticed their Red Head brand arrows were made by Eastman also. Looks like Eastman has a contract with them.
Does anyone know if they are the same arrow? All the tolerances match ... the 300 CX arrows are called 3000 in the Red Head brand. They were $15 cheaper and if they are the same thing, just with a different name, I'll go that route. But I want to be sure as to not have to change my setup.
Thanks,
Dave

Well I was there at the big sale, the rep was there and says they are the same.I know people that use them and they work perfect. Couldnt say if they are the same or not. But they work great!!!

It's a good arrow for the money.

The verdict is.....
Well, I went ahead and bought the Redhead shafts to experiment with. In shooting 6 arrows all at the same sequence, 3 CX and 3 BPS (with the same specs on the packages), I can't tell any difference in the grouping. In my own testing I'm convinced that they're the same.
My motive here was not to go cheap and I would gladly pay for a better performing arrow. However, when you get the same performance at more than a dollar per shaft less, it's an easy decision. It just doesn't have the Carbon Express name.

Exactly right.....we had a guy in here today that had a 6 carbons and 4 aluminum....he said they both hit exactly the same...coincidence, but it worked for him!!!
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!! ;)

Hold on .... I don't want it to sound like I'm some yokel, throwing two completely different arrows out there and they happen to fly the same on target. I'm confident that they're exactly the same shaft. I have the fold up instruction sheet that came with both sets and they're the same. Both are made by Eastman Outdoors, Flushing Michigan. Same specs., Buff Tuff coating, .0025 straightness, 8.1 gr/in. ...... same arrow. The package and the label are different. That's it.
If you assemble your own arrows: the point of my post is that if you shoot CX300 shafts, you can get the same same shaft at BPS (Carbon Maxx 3000) for almost $15 less.
Now if you don't make your own, then I would certainly go to a reputable bow shop and have it done right.

Last year I got a Bowtech MM, just like you have, with the same rest as you too. I also shot the BPS RedHead arrow and could not get it to paper tune out of my bow. I did some roll tests and some of the arrows would wobble and some wouldn't. I switched over to GT XT Hunters have got it to tune. Just my experience with the RH arrows.
