Hello everyone, I was wondering if there is anyone out there, that has a youth hunter that want's to go out duck hunting on Sept 17th for the 2006 youth waterfowl hunt. I am thinking about helping someone out that really would like to try duck hunting. Someone that has the intrest, but no one to show them how to do it, or the equipment needed. I have been thinking about donating my services and helping some youth, and there family member for Sept 17th. I'm Not 100% sure about this, since I have never volunteered myself before.
A Little about myself.....I have been hunting ducks for year's now and have not found anything I like to do better. I have learned everything I know on my own, since I was one of those youth's with no one to show them the way's. A lot of trial and error, but have learned a lot of tricks along the way. I am 33 year's old, and live in the Rochester Hills area. I believe that there is nothing more important then safety, and expect anyone that hunt's with me and my dog, to do the same. I would be open to travel a short distance if you have a spot in mind.
A little about my equipment, I have a 14ft jon boat with a 6 hp Johnson, ton's of decoy's(including a spinner), duck call's, and a trained 2 year old black lab.
Again, I have never done this before, so I am as sceptical as you are. If anyone is interested, send my a PM, and maybe I can help out. I would only be able to help on Sept 17th, since I have something to do on Sept 16.
