Went out to the B-bouy today with my son and DIL. Just went to catch some perch and whatever else would hit. Caught a few small perch and some rockbass. My son caught this 20" 4 lb smallmouth on an ultra-light rod. Good thing I had the drag set light. (he's not a fisherman) It made a 3 ft jump and also went under the boat. I also caught a 2lb'er later. DIL couldn't take the waves which were 1 ft but later subsided to nothing. Can you say CHUMMING.
So we left earlier than we normally would have. About a good 30 boats out there this morning.
Heard lots of M/S'ers out there on the radio. How did all you guys do?
