Hey Guys -

First post as Hoppes #10, formerly "Ruger1" which didn't seem to work anymore no thanks to moderators who have received numerous queries from myself and other members.

Dove loads - have hunted doves in Indiana for the last 7 years or so. Have always done well with 1 oz. of #8 or #7 1/2 regardless of gauge. Probably more important is choke. Opening day IC will get you by in a pump/autoloader, if you have a double 12 Skeet/IC will suffice. I hunted this year in Indiana Fri., Sat., and Sun., with a 20 ga. O/U and shot 1 oz. of 8s first two days and 1 oz. of 7 1/2 the third. By the third day birds are beginning to wise up and your shots are much longer. Hope this helps.

Saturdays Limit - 1 oz. #8 20 ga. IC/MOD http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/photopost/data/520/medium/DSC_00181.JPG

Hunted 4 hours on Fri. afternoon, Sat. morning, Sun. afternoon - 45 birds for close to an average of just over 1 bird for three shots.
