Just thought I'd introduce myself.. After finally getting ourselves a nifty little boat we've once again taken to the Lake to do some perch fishing. I thought it might be wise to find a local forum on LSc and I found this site, and I am very impressed. Not only do all of you men have a great sense of humor, you really take the time to help out anyone who needs it. We have been out about a dozen times and are averaging around 50 keepers with a couple massive bass throw in. It's funny how difficult it is to reel in a 5 lb small mouth on a perch pole-- and how they like to bite a perch rig. All we really go fishing for is perch, I dont mind cleaning or filleting them, but eventually I want him to read walleye mike's info and everyone else's as well so maybe he can learn to walleye fish as well. Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend and thanks for all the helpful hints. :)

We like to fish on the odd side of the bouys.. inbetween the weed beds. I have a buddy to is very attached to his bobber (and his bud lite for that matter) so the wed bed does him well. We were picking them up monday night in all the rain and wind 2 at a time.. good meaty ones. Last night it was a little slower, but they were all really good size.. not to big, not to small-- and thankfully no gobies. I'm not sure if that is N end or S end, I just know we go to Minnicks for minnows and beer and it close by there. I'm not really the navigator, I just have fished since I was 5 (my old man always took me) and I like to be the city girl that gives all my husbands friends a surprise when I bait, remove hooks, touch fish, and butterfly fillet like a samurai. :) Keeps it fresh.. or something like that. ;)

Welcome to the site. Plenty of great information as well as great people. Ask questions, share stories, post pictures of your catch etc. etc. Excellent place to "waste" time. Lots of friendly fun. Oh yeah, sometimes we play a little 'hard" (read that - poke fun), bring your thicker skin ! All in good fun. :D :fish2:
