Just wondering if anybody tag a yote yet? Went out and tried calling last week no luck yet, beside the weeds were chest high!:rant:

Won't start calling till the fur primes up. Unless their causing a problem eating domestics. Fur starts looking good about December 1. Plus it's to cold for most of the bow hunters. So I have all the farms to myself.

I gave it a try too but no luck. I'm not giving up though. Still this is my first time trying it and I'm solo.

Called one in Sunday night. First time out this year. He came running right in and stopped behind a brush pile, I hit my squeaker and he came running right at me. I shot at about 40 yards, he stumbled and ran back behind the brush pile and didn't come back out. I figured he was dead and started walking toward him, then he took off running. I shot again while he was runing away. I couldn't find any blood, so I am not sure if I hit him or not. I am putting the 22 mag away and getting out the 222.

I had at least one yote come in last night just before dark when I was calling but never had a real clear view of him much less a shot. I was using my rabbit distress call.

Haven't seen any yet but still trying. On a brighter note been seeing lots of deer. Mostly bucks actually, most young but 2 12 points yesterday. Can't wait for the 1st.

lots of horns being seen over this way too!! Seems like the ratio is coming back a bit in this area. I have seen as many bucks in the last 2 weeks as i have doe....pretty abnormal around here. High hopes for bow season here, I started to set up on 2 big boys we saw last week.

Definately looks to be a good season comin up. Maybe this year I'll get my first buck, seems how I've been refusimg to shoot anything smaller than a 4 pt. Been hard but looks like it starting to pay off.
