William (Bill) Bell. 586-465-9218. If it's handline machined parts, he's the man. I know he cuts his own mounts to fit some rodholders. Speaking of which, hey. Bill. Did you ever cut the mounts that I need?

Hey Mike,
I need my memory refreshed, :yikes: my last few remaining brain cells are apparently overloaded. I machined a pair to fit Schaller reels recently. I can't remember who requestd them so they are still in stock. beside my regular array of slugs I'm sure we can take care of you. Whip me a message giving me the kind of reel you want to adapt and I'll tell you what I got currently on hand. If I don't have what you need I'll give it a Priority #1 buddy.

Red Caps. Ram mount that slides into a Bert's track. I'll try to stop by sometime this week.

I'll second that comment Houghton Laker, He rebuilt one of my A&S reels and I bought 2 Slugs from him. He will not only fix your reel, but give you a great understanding of how and where handlining started. Hey Bill, when is the book going to be done?

Thanks Kevin for the kind words. Happy customers equal success and a very appreciative reel service person. I'll continue to strive toward getting a reliable, dependable handlining reel in every Michigan Sportsman's angler's boat. Boy what an awesome fleet of information and knowledge that would be for the fishing fleet! Old Eye might think differently. Happy handliners are fun to watch as they keep flipping fish and grinning :D . Reliable reels allow that to become an important part of the equation. You know my passion to make them operate better than the original manufactures assembled unit.

Hey Mushy,
Hope your getting the opportunity to use that A&S reel, they don't like getting dusty or laying around doing nothing. They are pedigree water dogs Chris and hanging them over the toilet tank or wash tub because your unable to get out to use them does not constitute adequate exercise or use :D. I think it may also affect the warranty.:yikes: Thanks you also for the kind words Chris, the book activity remains in sort of a holding pattern as long as I'm in possession of customers reels. I'm not complaining I've had a blast this year making Michigan Sportman customers happy and sending them on their way smiling. :fish:

Motcityman,
Call him! In fact I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't PM'd you already. I had such a pleasant experience with Bill (keep it clean HL) that it was a pleasure to give him my money. A true craftsman that loves what he does.

What about hanging them over the tool bench? ;)

Hey Mushy I'm so proud of you! Casing that A&S reel of yours like I suggested is probable going to make me one of the loniest service persons around because I won't be seeing you for a decade or so and you'll be increasing its longevity and reliability by that much. It’s an inexpensive way to protect a valuable component. Heck You would only go and spend on worms anyway!

Hotwired,
That is a highly selective established compliment of pure eye candy your dealing with, you don’t count. That’s what dreams are about my friend.
