It sounds like you guys got off the water just in time!
We were at my SIL's place on all afternoon and evening yesterday. There was very little boat traffic at all on the Middle Channel yesterday. We fished from their boat docks for 2-3 hours and got nothing but some perch. In fact, one nice one that we didn't put a tape on but it went at least 10-11" and was a FATTY. I was on the other dock when Mark landed it and he had a little mishap when unhooking it and it ended up back in the water. That's ok though because the rest of the perch caught were dinks. If we'd had three or four more of those it would have been a nice meal!
Around 10:00 it started to drizzle so we went in the house. About 10:30 we decided it was time to head for the ferry. It wasn't raining as we got off of the ferry in Algonac. We turned left and headed West toward Rochester and by the time we got to the marsh it was raining pretty good. But by the time we got to Fairhaven it was an all out downpour! We were behind one car that decided to pull off the road and wait it out. We kept going and it rained pretty hard for quite a while but let up by the time we got to Chesterfield Twp. (I-94 and 23 mile rd.) I'd have sure hated to be out on the water in that stuff!
Take care,
John

I was out there Saturday night. That was a very windy storm, good thing it came in out of the NNW. I don't know how fast the wind was blowing but it sure got my undivided attention real quick. Dug about a fifty foot trench with the anchor trying to hold me in place. I managed to get a couple pictures of the rain before the camera got to wet and quit working.
All that and no fish  ...................Bob B.
