Fished the north wall in Oscoda last night/this morning. No fish till just after daylight, then they came till around 8:15am, when they turned off. A few boats whacked a couple trolling in close as well. Fish were coming up steadily all morning. Quite a few people, but that was expected, here's some pics:

Me with my 13lb hen, caught on a grn/glo KO.

Another king comes to net:

One of the locals hooked up, talking to my buddie Bob:

Here's his fish, on a Ludington watermelon cobra:

Here's my fish spread out, a nice healthy hen:

A couple fish were a bit thin, but for the most part they were in better shape then last year. The south pier never hooked up on this morning.

don't worry abou that spoon... they really don't work very well and you can only buy them from a guy in Nova Scotia, and he does not ship anything outside of canada :)

It's a silver streak cobra, in the ludington watermelon color. It works pretty good off Oscoda, as does the Oscoda watermelon, I've done real well on that. I don't know where to get them where you live, but Frank's in Linwood has them.

Wonder if they are doing anything in Thunder bay off the wall of the marina? You ever fish up that way?

Good to see some healthier fish over that way. A buddy of mine fished Oscoda yesterday evening on the pier and said he landed a nice 12lber that looked pretty healthy, and missed a good bite. Hopefully signs of things to come.

I throw'em on 10lb and they cast fine, they're a 1/2oz. In 2003, I absolutely slayed the salmon up in Oscoda on the watermelon color bearing it's name. It was HOT!

Yeah, my fish looked very good, her skeins were HUGE.

The Thumb's been tough all summer. I hope you guys get some fish there shortly, I've fished PA, and had some fun times, and seen some giant salmon caught there.
