Sing their praises Scotty!!!!! One thing Real Good to Novice fishermen want to know and understand about, is that any products "No matter who's" and/or ideas that work and catch them more fish is always a welcomed topic. The majority of fishermen will not concern themselves with the politics, egos or business bottom lines that often get tangled in with helping others in the process of telling them the things that help them be better fishermen. ;) People in power have a hard time understanding that one.

I will shout it as loud as I can, the reason why I even started useing Gulp in the first place was that I got tired of cleaning the boat from worm bedding and the mess that went along with real worms.. I was washing the worms the night before and soaking them in ice water before the next day of fishing, now I just pull one out of the pack and put it on the hook and I am good to go..

I dont wanna announce how many walleye I caught this summer because people will start with there you caught to many BS so lets just say it was a hhhhole lot and 99% of them came on Gulp.. I will only use reel worms from time to time and I enjoy telling people about it for the same reasons that I had with real worms.. Like walleye express said I dont know or care about any of the pollitics of it all and dont really care to be honest with ya.. Cya Slick

PS.. Walleye express Well it looks like I did not make it this year to go to saginaw bay maybe next year.. I just hate driving a long ways to catch walleye when there right here 5min from home:lol:..

Slick.

I've been a fisherman of convenience myself for a couple of years now. Its great when the fishing is that good that close to your own home.

So do you guys use the Gulp! night crawlers on harnesses and such instead of real crawlers??

That's it ! The Gulp Crawlers (Berkley), the natural series work Great. I personaly haven't bought a real crawler in three years. Used on a harness or tipping a jig or on the belly hook of a Mean Streak (sm. chunk), plain works without the real crawler/bedding mess in the boat. Another plus, is that sm. Perch/Bluegills/trash fish don't peck the worm apart while trolling/casting. Don't leave Home without it ! Bob

just remember to keep them wet when you move from one spot to another. they dry out quick if left on a hook. just dunk em in the live well to keep them fresh when moving. learned from experience they do dry out quick. greg

I have used the "Gulp !" quite a bit this year, last year too, but this year quite extensively. I have found that IF the fish are "on the bite", Gulp ! will work as well as the real thing. Not better. Just as well. Yes, it does keep the small and unwanted fish from shredding your real crawlers while on the hook. No, no mess at all (other than that damn smell !). On an average day though, I find the real crawler is probably going to out fish the Gulp ! Sure, I'll go through a few more, get them torn up by small fish, and most likely catch a farm animal or two on the real crawlers, but I'll have more action at least than if I didn't have any real meat out there. Unwanted action or not. Action is at least, action. Real crawlers are still the way to go in my book for a more "sure thing". Try slinking a Gulp ! crawler along the bottom in a true "finesse" mode, comparatively you'll have little action against a real crawler when them Walleyes can take time to examine/sniff/eyeball your offering. Gulp ! just doesn't have that seductive, loose "slinky" type movement of a real crawler. Trolling/drifting harnesses where the fish take an active attack, Gulp ! will hold it's own. You put me in a tourny, I'm putting real meat on instead of Gulp !. Period. My opinion, use 'em both for the type of fishing you're doing, they work, at times ! ;) :coolgleam

Has been My experiance, it will come out atleast 50/50 as far as Gulp - vs - live , tough bite or not. Then there are the times, that I feel You get the "extra" bite, because of the Berkley formula, haveing the bait/lure in the water more. Come over to the Dark Side :evilsmile ! Bob

I've been witness a few times now to the Chamook's magic with all types of Gulp versus the real deal. Even those little buger shaped ones he sometimes uses on the river. Only on very few occassions have I or the fish themselves convienced him to swith over.:p

Now that the "Word" is out......the tree-huggers will come in hordes.....Make sure you wear surgical gloves while handling them......The c-man can tell you about the warts that come from handling foreign objects.
