I have a 3.5 HP Nissan 2 stroke outboard motor. I think it is a late 80's or early 90's model. Anyway, this is the first motor I have owned so I dont know alot about them but I am having trouble figuring out how to tilt it forward.
1)Does the motor need to be at the lowest setting (straight down) when in the water or does it need to be at an angle?
2) When I get in shallow water and ready to pull my boat on shore, how does this motor tilt up? I remember fishing in my buddys boat and he just pulled the motor towards him while in the boat and it locked into place.
Any help would be appreciated!!! I am leaving on my trip tomorrow morning!
