I went downtown sunday, march 3, to see if the St Jean launch was open yet and it wasn't. Sign said open on March 1....Maybe it was closed because of the cold temps. Also checked out the ramp by the ambassador bridge (grand river st) still closed.
The Delray ramp a little further downriver closed til April 1. Just thought I'd let everyone know...

Tiger,
From what I have heard the water is going to get even lower as the year progressses. I keep my 22' Walkaround in a canal near Ford Yacht Club and I think I may have to find other dock because of the water level.
Hopefully, Erie is near the end of its' 7 year cycle. I would like to see the water come back up. Believe it or not, This is near the normal for Lake Erie and the Detroit River.

Other than haveing to get out and walk last time I haven't had any trouble, hope your right about the cycle, and it's not being artificially helped in any way,,Did you make it out at all, I'am actually itching to get some walleyes and I need a large Northern to mount, going to do some work on the boat and hit it as soon as the weather turns...

I will never launch at Elizabeth park again.
They no longer have an annual sticker....just a $5.00 daily.
The Lake Erie Metropark just to south still has the annual $24.00 pass, and I hit the river at least 20-30 times in the spring.
Many more docks too.
Water is kinda low tho.....

Huntnut,
I won't go to Elizabeth Park either, just some info. I also went by Wyandotte Municiple Launch this morning they were working like mad dogs the ramps were iced in with alot more ice coming down the river and filtering into the ramp site.

Hit the Detroit River for some perch,, and the south winds have rasied the water level , no problems about three feet most the way out, got some perch and hammerhandle northerns, muddy water at Boblo and north side of the Tee Dyke, found good numbers of jumbos south of the cross dyke,,pike piss me off
