Well, I'm back from Mio. We arrived Friday night, or I should say Saturday morning, around 2am and went fishing for eyes off the pier. We fished for a few hours and nothing :sad:. We went back to the trailer and had brats on the fire. We then went back out with the canoe around 6am. We fished all morning and caught four pike. We caught the pike using a soft plastic swim bait, surface popper, inline spinner, and a spinner bait. It seems the pike prefered a little orange on the lures. We took one back to camp to fry up with dinner :corkysm55. The next day we went to Fletchers and fished from 7am to 8pm. I've never fished 13 hours stait in a little 14' boat in my life. We did pretty good. I've done much better on the pond in the past but no complaints. The fishing was slow in the morning and picked up later when the sun came out and the wind died down. We took 1 pike, 3 bass, and around 20 gills back for an evening fish fry :corkysm55. We caught a good amount of pike and bass all day. All and all a good trip.
