One hit on silver cleo with a gold ladder back.

Dave, Did you bring your lap top to the pier since you posted this at 9:37 PM on the 21 st. Sure you were not out there this AM ? :lol: :lol: Might have to make a trip to Holland it has been a few years.....

So it was 930 didnt really look at clock.... I live 2 min away from beach.. and they were shutting it down when i left... so figured it was 10 pm...

anyway.. thats what happend tonight.... NOT MUCH:(

I was aware you lived down the road but not that close to the beach..

Shutting it down.... Now I know why I do not like fishing there.... GH, North shore then no issues.....

you can fish the pier but i ddidnt park outside the gates.... Said not much was going on and had other things to do. I might take a stab at it in the morning.

Do they ever hassel you for fishing past the hour?? I know they announce it is a fine and you can't be on the pier after they close... but I was out there one night and had to boogy just to get out of the park before they locked me in... made the mistake of parking inside the park... but I know other guys stayed out... Has any one ever had problems staying out later, if they parked outside the park??

Nope, no problem staying out late. You just have a longer walk.

As long as you park outside the park (by the old hot dog shop) and walk in they cant do anything to you as long as you have a fishing licance.

HOWEVER-

If you leave before the park re opens you have to walk the break wall all the way to the end by lake mac. then take the path to the road. If you dont you will be trespasing and they can write you a ticket.


The pier is Goverment owned.. no county owned or state owned.

Sounds like too many headaches to fish the pier. I'll stick to GH for awhile I guess.

8 kings caught a few days ago.... in AM.

They were all dark and mushy

Have you seen any walleye, or perch come in with the cooler water??

Both have been hit or miss... 2 weeks ago got 105 perch of the pier (3 people) all good size.

I assume that was when the lake rolled over and the cold water was in close!!
