Chicago does the offshore forecasts, Grand Rapids does the nearshore, that is why you see a large spread. Chicago is going with one forecast, Grand Rapids another.

Sat at Ludington was flat in the morning. By the afternoon there were 5 footers within 5 nm of shore.
