Heading to an uncles cabin on Robinson lake in NW iron county next week for a little R.R. and am wondering if anybody is familar with this lake and can tell me what the fishing is like there. I have never been on this lake and am just a little curious what to expect.

I have the SPORTSMAN'S CONNECTION lake map book and it lists Robinson Lake. The avarage depth of the lake looks to be around 10 ft. with three 20Ft. deep holes and one small Island. The book does not list any species present in the lake. Here is a link to a DNR map of the lake:

I just got home from Iron Co. on Aug 10th and the fishing was very slow, water temp was pretty warm. If you get a chance try and Fish Perch lake. I was marking a lot of fish on Perch! Seen quite a few Walleye and some jumbo Perch on my Aqua-Vu just could not get them to bite. Another lake to try (if you can get access to it) is Paint and East Paint (which you should pass going in to your uncles cabin)From what I am told Paint is a real good Muskie lake, also offers Pike and Bass.

Some other lakes to try in your area are Winslow, St. Katheryn, Tamarack, Chamberlin and Bond Falls.

Good Luck!
