My son Robert often sees me checking and at time posting a thread. Robert is 7 years old and is an avid fisherman. Robert asked me to post a thread to all you fisherman.
This is from Robert in his words.
"I went fishing with my dad. And we waited a little bit and then this large mouth bass got my fishing pole, I only have a little fishing pole and it bent my rod. I used the drag a little bit and my rod was bent. Dad thought it was a snag and we pulled in. And we ate it. It had a whole bunch of meat. I could not eat all of it. It tasted good."
He asked me to post the fish.
:fish:
Here you go Robert! Let's here it for a future fisherman and a future MI Sportsman Forum addict.

Thanks Guys for all the great post. Robert is a great kid, polite, very likeable but has been diagnosed to have a Learning Disability. He really struggles with reading and writing. When I get home tonight, I'll work with on reading your post. He will really get a kick out of it. He was very proud just watching me post his thread.
Just for the record that fish was one of the largest Large Mouth Bass I've seen in some time. All day we were catching little ones, I kept saying "we got to throw them back Robert". I was explaining size regulations. Well then he landed that monster and I tried to explain catch and release and the bigger ones are great for breading....We'll that didn't work. The thought of throwing it back brought out the big tears :( . So long story short, we cooked him over a camp fire - Robert claims that was his best meal ever and you know what….I think he was right ;) .
