Hello members,
Well this is it, it will be our last and final event for 2006. The points leaders are very close, who will be the 2006 Lake michigan fishing champion this year. Will it be Sixshooter, Dirty Dog, or the Caznik. Team Catfishhoge is not out of it yet. All he has to do is do really good in this next event coming up Sept. 10th here at Muskegon. Teams Trout Tracker and Hunt4ever will have to do really good also to make #1. Well teams this get getting very interresting now, so I hope that you can make this last event of the year. If anyone of you members like to join us this day give me a PM or sign up here and I will put you down. There will not be a pot luck this year due to there is another tournament that is right behind us and we have to be out of there by 2pm. Maybe we can all get together another time and another place before October. If anyone has a clue where we could do this let me know please. Well this is it once again, so good luck to all teams. I am also taking a poll to see who you think will be the 2006 West Mich. Fishing League champion this year. So take a vote and see if you are right.

Sixshooter

Thanks Caz. But I never finish strong in Sept.
Bye the way congrats on kicking my butt in this past event.
I'm thinking Caz for the get together maybe Buffalo Wild Wings either on Alpine or 28th street.

I wish we could have a mulligan, that 1 event which was the same as cabelas salmon shootout cost us. I could vote for team minnow then. This time I`ll vote for team sixshooter.

I should be able to make it for this event. I figure if I start planning now I ought to be able to have a crew lined up.;)
As far as who will take the number 1 spot .... tuff call between Sixshooter and Caznik. They both have a secret weapon ... Six has Beverly and Caz has his pink mono. I'm thinking Caz will pull it out, by catching the big fish for the season, which will also put him over the top overall.

Wow I hope it blows. I really want to fish one more this year with ya'll.
However the FLW League Championship is the 7,8 and 9th. Hey it's for a new 621 DV Ranger :coolgleam
After a week in Escanaba fishing eyes, I'd like a day or two of rest.
See ya on the 17th!

Ok guys,
I am going to tell you now that there is a few rule changes that I have to let you know now before the next event.
#1- You can bring in all your fish at the weigh in now if you like. But make sure if you are fishing with a crew of 4 fishermen that you only have a 3 man limt in your box. If you get caught with more in your box you will be DQ. The rule still stands that if you fish with a 4 man team that you must only catch a 3 man limit.
#2- I been thinking about this after waking up today. If there is a tie for the points leaders for only 1st place. I will have to have a tie breaker for 1st place only. What I will do is, I will weigh in all your fish that who ever is tied for 1st place in the points lead only. So make sure you bring in all your fish this time at the weigh in. It is very close and this might happen this year. (3 man limit only)
#3- You all know that we weigh in your big fish first. We been doing this all the time this year. There was a team at the last weigh in that he put his first fish on the scale and weighed it. Then after that he pulled out his second fish and noticed that it was bigger than his first fish weighed in. Well rules are rules and you cannot check fish at the scales. So make darn sure that you know whitch is your biggest fish before the weigh in. Also you cannot bring in your own scale from your boat and check your fish at the weighin. Check them while you are fishing and mark them before its your turn to weighin your big fish.
#4- If you cannot make this event make sure you let me know before the event. If you are going to be late call me at Fishermens landing. My cell number is 1-269-908-0286. I leave the launch at 4:30am sharp. If you are late and cannot call me up. Call me or anyone eles so we all know that you made it out and you are in for sure. I will give you till 6:30am to do this. If you don't do this you will not be in the event. Event channel has allways been 72.
I will be posting this so I know that I have told everyone on the list.

Ok Members,
Just to let you know that this Sunday is our last fishing event. I cannot have a pot luck afterwards because of other tournaments running behind us. But anyways, if you cannot make this event please make sure that you let me know before Saturday afternoon. If you are going to be putting out at a different boat launch will you please let me know. If you are going to be later for this event will you let me know to. Just call my cell at 1-269-908-0286. Now looking at the wave report. It looks like it is going to be ruff on Sunday. Do you think I should keep this going and if it is to ruff out just all fish in Muskegon Lake. I do not know if the fish will be in there but thought Id check with you guys. As of right now if it looks to be ruff on Sunday morning I will cancel it Saturday afternoon.
So stay tuned and let me know what you think I should do. Run it or cancel it if we cannot hit the big lake.

Caz,
I would rather fish the blow date than dodge boats on Muskegon Lake. . . if it is actually that rough. With that said, I would not be able to make the blow date. My granddaughter is being baptized that morning(~:

It's going to be combat fishing no matter how we do it. At least if we can get out on the big lake you can get away from the pack if you want to. If it doesn't calm down, I vote for the blow date, even though I can't make it (the blow date).
Mister ED

Although I have only fished one of the other tourneys, I have to agree with Hunt4Ever and Hollandpiper. And like them, I wouldn't be able to make the blow date either (it is on my weekend to work:sad: ).
So, lets hope they change the forecast in the next two days.
