northwest piers

Well just got back from the northwest side of the state. Stopped in Frankfort friday to find bath tub like water temps. Was disappointed so drove south a little and found some cooler water and some fish. Started fishing at about 11:30. Didnt get a hit till about 4. Ended up going 5 for 8 between the girlfriend and I. All kings biggest about 17 or 18 pounds. Fished again last but the water warmed up some even tho there was still a east wind. Ended up 1 for 2 With the 1 being a sheephead. lol First time fishing in lake michigan. I will be back. Was a drastic change in 1 night tho.

i hit the frankfort pier friday night... slightly cooler temps (50's) but no fish to speak of. Came back out to the pier sat morning only to find a bunch of people and warmer temps (high 60's). How far south did you go to find the colder water?
