White. White and chartruese. Those are the only two colors I've been able to get a bite on with the chatterbaits this year. I'm sure others will add more.

My buddy makes his own and swears by the white bill with a Black/Chart. skirt. I just outfish him with spinnerbaits.:evilsmile

On overcast days, in muddy or stained water use chart or chart white. With clear skies and clear water use white. At nite use black.

I don't think I have been out with anyone who fished a color that outperformed all white so far this year. I have caught fish on other colors, including the previously mentioned variations of chartreuse and also black. I have also caught fish on red and white. It seems to me that so far the Chatterbait hasn't really outproduced other baits numbers wise, but I think I generally catch larger fish compared to the other things I throw.

My White\chartruse chatter hasnt produced at all this year, my blue\black has been my best option. I have even caught more on my red n white one than white\chartruse? I have gotten a 3lb Lg on my blue and numerous 2lb smallies, however i fish the rivers the most.

If they're still as hard to find as they were - they're at BPS with the real ones and quite a few knockoffs... I regret not reading this before I got the grey/white one and not all white.

Save yourself the money and just buy senkos and strike king spinnerbaits. Only caught 2 bass and 2 pike on them and I use them quit a bit.

My vote goes to the all white. I swapped the double tail white trailer with a outkast tackle white and silver 4" grub. Seems to get alot of action.
My only problem lately has been with hookups. Has anyone tried a trailer hook on there chatter baits?

I was looking around and found supplies to make your own chatterbaits:

Anyone see something like this before and try it? I'm wondering if the splitrings affect it at alll..
