Well Larry, so far i guess it's just us hear. Either no one has any or no one wants to part with them. How long has it taken you to get the ones you have.

gmaschle- I started collecting mi. patches when mi. started giveing them out for checking deer. Until last year, I did not realize how many people were collecting them! I started just because I thought they were nice to have. Also, I wanted to know how old my deer was. The patch to me was just nice to get. There were a few years I did not get a deer, so I decided to try and put a whole set together by tradeing some of the ones I had doubles. I now have a complete set of deer and turkey patches. Although a couple of my patches are replicas (not orginals). So, be careful when you buy patches for 72,73,74,75,& 77! All of these have been reproduced. To my knowledge, 76 has not been reproduced. Through the years, 72 thru 99 I was only missing 4 patches. Many I had doubles and triples. So as you can see, I had to do a little tradeing. Why did you start collecting these patches? It looks like you have a long way to go! If you got enough MONEY, patches can be had. Let me know which ones you are looking for, because I find some every now and then. One other person on this forum is collecting also. I had one I traded with him.

I received two in 1992 for having my deer checked. I was curious as to the age. When I received those two I was away from home and still had drive a ways to nearest check point. There is no check point near my hunting are(Port Austin Tip of thumb) and I mostly bow hunt. It seems when I get a deer its too warm to toss it in the truck and drive 45 min to cass city then 45 home again. I like to get the deer cooled quickly. I am a P.O. and also collect Police patches I have well over 200 of those but they are much easier to come by. The successful hunter patches fascinate me and I hope to make a display of all of them some day. Hopefully I have some luck and don't have to sell my soul to get them.. I bougt 1989 on the net and 1998 was given to me by a C.O.
Good luck getting 77 and 73.

What kind of price did you pay for your 89 patch, if you don't mind me asking. I see in ebay, 82,83,and 84- for all 3 the bid is 70.00. I guess that's not to bad. Also, theres a 91 & 92 in there for 10.00 ea. they probably will go up. Thought I would let you know.

Hello, I'm also trying to collect a complete set of Successful Deer Hunter Patches. At this time I need a 72,74,75 & 85. I don't have any extra to trade, but I'm will to pay a resonable amount for a patch in near mint to mint condition. I have bought a few on EBay, which I probably paid too much for. I would like to buy them from a fellow sportsman rather than some business selling on Ebay trying to make a BIG profit. Thanks for your time, Ed

Ed, The patches you are looking for are not any of my extras! Sorry, I can't help you. I have finally filled in the missing ones I needed. Now, I am trying to complete a set of BEAR Patches. I to would like to buy from a sportsman for a reasonable price or trade for deer patches.
