I'm going to be ordering some Ultracast. Any of you tried it out yet? It's supposed to outcast and outlast the competition.

It looks like good stuff, but for $20 a spool I'll stay with fireline. I haven't found a line that casts better than fireline.

It was so good they had to call it the Ultimate Braid... http://www.purefishing.com/documents/Type_69/ExtremePerf_factsheetF.pdf

Tried Ultracast... didn't like it. Went to Powerpro... love it.

They did tests and compared it to Power Pro. Ultracast came out on top in all categories.;) Are you lying to me?

Well, I don't recall being included in this test... so I'll stick to my powerpro.

What is it that you don't like about Ultracast?

The powerpro seemed to stay "rounder" for me.

OK, I'm going to backtrack, issue a retraction: I was just at Gander and it was the Stealth Spiderwire that I tried and threw away. But as I said, I like the Powerpro and I guess I'm not going to change horses since it works for me. I even picked up a spool of 20 lb while I was there.

That is what I was going to say. If you want a fair review of a product a neutral source would be the way to go. Of course the pros they sponsor aren't going to give the line a bad review and Spiderwire themselves aren't going to publish bad reviews or test results on their own site. Check a fishing magazine or something else that has an unbias opinion.
