The ice on Anchor Bay was never safe enough for me to fish last year, and I was not able to get out even once!
Yesterday, I fried up a mess of perch, crappie and gills from January 05, and they were awesome!
It got me thinking about the idea of some ice fishing this year.
All we can do is hope............

i'm hopeing that this year we get some good ice too it was pretty shakey last year i went out but i found actually better sucess to fish in the canals

I think I have faith for this years ice. Or maybe its just hope... b/c right now its pretty darn hot. I'm hoping it'll cool up here in the next few weeks, but there is still alot of August left...

Last year the only time there was safe ice on the canal behind my house was for a few days right beofe Christmas. After that, it rained and there was never safe ice again for me.
