My sons went out Sat. They were going to fish the docks at Bob Lo but they said there were too many boats plus you had to break thru skim ice to get in. They said they would have p$$$$d off the other people if they tried to go in. They ended up in the Trenton channel jigging. Tough South wind, lots of fish marked but not sure what they were, saw fish rising in warm water discharge (carp)?. My one boy picked up a 10-12# musky(released) but no walleyes. It won't be long now!:D :D :D

When do the walleye start getting real thick in the river?

April - May, sometimes it seems you could just dip them like smelt used to be !

FireTiger, Do you head over to the crossdike, for the pike?

I get careless over there. You catch so many hammer handles, that I get lax. Hook a big-un and it breaks off from carelessness.

Jimbo,

Yea, I am the same way. There are a couple big Pike over there that are summing around with Firetiger Rapala Husky Jerks in their lip. I am sure the hooks rusted now but if you catch one I WANT MY LURE BACK.

Gottha,, is that the guide who fished in I believe, a burgundy triton? Cause thats alot of eye's!!

I dont know if between all of my buddies if we did 1500 last year, its got to be pretty close though. Thats what 3 boats pulling wire, every night, for two month's straight,, sounds good to me!!!!
