I think this is what you are looking for:

Special Watercraft Regulations by County (http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,1607,7-153-10366_37141_37701---,00.html)

I'm one of the few here who fish in a boat, but ride my PWC's on my lake during the week. I understand that there are inconsiderate operators out there for sure, but that goes for fishing boats as well.

There are 1000's of lakes in Michigan, with a very small percentage of which you can ride a skiboat or PWC on. I have 2 lakes within 15 miles of my house that I can launch and ride a PWC on, where I have probably 100+ that I can launch a 14' deep V on. The all sports lakes are always going to be used for these activities.

I'm sure some jack@ss's come and actually buzz you and whatever, but I see a ton of guys getting pissed out fishing cause ski boats and PWC's are 500' away zooming by. Of course its noisey, of course its gonna make a wake. But these people have a right to enjoy the resource as well. I live on lakeville lake, and have never went fishing onit for that reason. Find yourself a nice little lake like you said, and it will probably be much more enjoyable overall.

I lived on this race track for 5 years an between the ski boats an the PWCs finally sold out an left, won't even fish this lake except middle of the week, very few "courteous" drivers on this whole lake, maybe thats why the accident rate an more than a couple deaths lead the whole county,I'm sure like you say there are some courteous drivers but I havn't seen one yet.....but then I'm only 70

Well, that list and what it says at the boat ramps do not agree. Big Wabasis in Kent County for example: The regs linked above say no wake time of 6:30. The sign at the ramp says 7:30, and this is the time we use at our Wed. night tournament on that lake ever week. It is the time the sherrif enforces (he shows up about every other week or so to keep us honest!)

Same can be said for Wolf Lake in Muskegon county. Regs say 6:30, ramp sign says 7:30
