Saginaw River- 2-24-02

Fished the Saginaw River in Bay City tonight for a couple of hours. River is FAST! Couldn't use a deep diving crankbait because it would drift way downstream into logs and such. Tried jigs and shallow body baits; didn't have a strike. Hopefully, this rain will get em started before the season closes and the river will clear up a bit.

Spent about three hours Sunday evening throwing wally divers, rattle traps, shad raps and jigs with twister tails in white, black, chartreuse and red from the shore at the Dow dam. Water was barely in the banks. All fish stayed in the banks too. Maybe next week.

I was in the river on the 24thas well. WOW WAS IT FAST!!!!
I was trying to jig and it was not easy. River was reallly dirty, fast, and lots of debris. When it clears up a bit, it should be good.
