Ran a few readings through the chrono with my Prestige.

553 grain arrow, 65lb draw, 29" draw length - 251fps for 77ft-lbs of KE
371 grain arrow " " " " " " " - 286fps for 67ft-lbs of KE

As one can see, this bow is much more efficient in production of KE and momentum with a heavier arrow.

The heavy arrow was a 29" terminator select 6075 hunter with yellow weight tubes, 100 grain tip, and blazers. At 70lb of draw the arrow was shooting 270fps for 89ft-lbs of KE. That setup will be used by Frank Rus of Archery Unlimited Inc in Canada this fall for Moose to push his titanium bodied snypers through.

This will be the second year of using his custom made titanium snyper bodies through moose. Last year 4 moose were killed with that head, all pass throughs, and on the moose Frank shot his pass through included a shattered shoulder socket on the off side...One blade broke at that impact but the ferule stayed straight and true. After replacing the blades on that head he used the same head on a 154" Illinoise Whitetail. That same head will be on his primary arrow this year for moose.

The titanium snyper body can only be purchased at Archery Unlimited Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI as well as any spare blades you would need. Gentlemen, this would truley be the last three heads you'd ever have to buy for your entire life of bowhunting.

I'll take the 286fps arrow at 67 on whitetail...a bit "overkill" anywhere around that range..371 grains would be about the heaviest arrow I've used in a decade!

77KE..that is a HUGE amount of KE! Are you liking your Prestige? I've heard of some good right to lefts, but a little inconsistancy in the elevation..what do you think?

I'm liking it a lot. I'm shooting it along side my project Martin SlayR. I hear ya on the arrow weight...last year I used a 365 grain arrow at only 57lbs.

All I know is that the arrows are stacking and getting their quick. In my opinion 286 is a screaming speed for hunting. I'm actually thinking about trying some large cut expandables this year...primarily the Rocket Sidewinder (1.5") or the Wask JakHammer (1.75").
