I have a coworker that can get me onto private land in Wyoming at the bas of the mountains. I am looking at getting out there next fall (2007) for mule deer and/or elk. Anybody know the drill for licenses/requirements? I plan to surf to Wyomings DNR website, but thought some of you may have first-hand experience with this...Thanks.

NONRESIDENT INITIAL DRAWING APPLICATION PERIOD AND LICENSE FEESSection 1. DATES AND DEADLINES. Applications and fees must arrive at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Cheyenne, Wyoming by 5 P.M. on the application deadline to be valid regardless of the postmark date. If the deadline date is on a day when the Cheyenne Headquarters office is closed for normal business hours (weekends, holidays, and so forth), applications received by 5 P.M. on the next business day at the Cheyenne Headquarters office will be accepted as meeting the application deadline date. All applications received after that time and date will be rejected and returned to the applicant after the respective drawings have been conducted.

Applications received after the application period shall not be accepted. For example, the nonresident application period for DEER is January 1 through March 15; so an application must be received sometime during those dates.

I drew a mulie tag this year. The process is relatively easy. You just need to make sure you have the right unit and get the money/app in on time. If you need help during the application process next year drop me a PM.
