I think lots of us shoot in our back yards and I'm interested in seeing some of your setups. Mine is below, up the hill to the bench in the background (by the fire pit) is 40 yards and you can see the white lines are 20 and 30 respectively. I'm replacing the antique deer target with a Glendel, the Block 4x4 is also on it's last leg.

Very nice! After seeing your set-up, there's no way I'm posting pics of mine!

This is what I had at my place in Indiana. I've gotta build another one here at the new place now. (Sorry for the oversized picture).

I keep moving mine so can't really show pictures. However, I do prefer to shoot where there are trees (I live in the woods). Once in a while I will shoot some out in the open but much prefer shooting right in the woods and changing the shots and angles constantly. Also I shoot from treestands and also from the ground. No uphill shots though as I do not get those where I hunt.

I have old feed sacks filled with water softener salt bags.
These are hung from trees in the back yard and make great targets.
I have feed sacks at : 20, 30, and 40 yards.
The bear target is at 50 yards.
The deer target is at 60 yards.

Great set up fellas. I'm jealous, I'm stuck in the burbs, until I get my kids through school. If I went out in my yard and shot I'm sure some neighbors would call the boys in blue on their weapon toting neighbor.

Great setups!!!

I can't use my back yard because it backs up to a church and kids are always running around the church property.
But I do shoot in my basement with my recurves. I use some old couch pillows tied together. Works great! (Although my wife doesn't like the idea....)

does a block target in the garage count? :yikes:

YES! Especially if there's a refrigerator next to it! Full of frosty Budweisers of course!
