I saw one on E-Bay

Just curious if this is a good deal for this bow.
I've been thinking of upgrading, but would move rest, sight, etc. from current bow.

Looks like a 2004.
Hard to get clearance from the riser and still get level nock travel.
Center shot is very close to cables as well. Blazers barely sneak through turned cock feather out.
Be sure to check what the draw length is as well. Doesn't say in the post.
If it's the 2004 I just traded this bow for a different one. Very fast and plenty quiet...holds like a rock nut I couldn't get it to shoot as well as I'd have liked and I worked on it a week.:dizzy:

Man Kelly...sucky luck. I had my 2004 that I just got smackin hard in an hour. She tillered up and timed perfectly.
63lbs
29.5" draw
cx300 - 2" blazers 100grain point (371 total arrow weight)
Whisker biscuit B1 old school biscuit
CockFletch out
I can't get over how well she's shooting. 283fps while probably losing 4-5fps with the oldschool biscuit alone.
I do agree with you though...not much clearance whatsoever...the biscuit as proven beneficial in that order in that I'm able to shoot odd fletch out...I have the cable guard as close to the arrow as possible giving me a little under 1/4" at rest clearance with no contact whatsoever during the shot. If I were to shoot cockfletch up or down I would be unable to get clearance of the cable or of the riser even. The way she is setup now however is just great.
I have a TrapDoor Mach4 on the way that I'll play with on this bow...I should still be able to shoot it odd fletch out and get great clearance.
The draw length on the bow in your post riddle is adjustable from 28"-31" in half inch increments.

Yeah man I'm bummed. I LOVE the way it holds and shoots. Never had better...but it wouldn't put the arrow where I wanted no matter what I did to it.

How do ya know?

Those are the big C base nitrous cams. Same as I have. All adjustments are made on the cam...no other modules required. That's some sweet draw range adjustment.

Also Kelly...you're right, it holds and shoots very nicely. The only stabilizing device I have on her is that stubby Sims s-coil stabilizer. The bow does not tip forward or back on release...it just goes right towards the target. I'm currently shooting my normal relaxed hand grip with no wrist sling...the bow is dead in the hand.

One last thing...that bow rolled off the line in 2005...it has the teflon coated steel cable rod...not carbon fiber. Martin switched over to the steel teflon coated in 2005. Other than that however the 04 and 05 models are exactly the same thing.

So at $220 is it a good deal? I currently shoot an older Browning. Just trying to get a gauge on what used bows are worth, as after thinking about it a bit I probably won't by one this year, unless a great deal comes up.

If you can get it for less than 300.00 it's a good deal.

THe mini mods will take it down another 2". IN fact if your draw is 29 I would reccomend the mini mods for a true 29" draw and a little speed

Sounds like u had a bent riser kelly johnson....if u dont put in the right or press or press it wrong the will bend the riser.....i shoot a 2004 slayer to this day for 3d the bow shoots great!! a B cam in the longest slot will shoot alot faster than a C cam with mini Mods, i shoot with the X system with blazers and have no clearence or center shot problems as kelly had.
slayr is a real fast bow i shoot 53lbs 328 grain x cutters 90 grain point at 27 3/4 draw will shoot 284 all day....go to 60lbs jumps to 296:yikes: .......great groups at 50 yeads....bow shoots better t han i do.....:D

That's why I wish the B cam went to 29" at least. I'm a heavy 29 (29.5) and had to go with the C cams. That brings the higher brace and a loss of speed...in that a 28" b cam will be about the same speed as a 29" C cam.
Any time frame on when those xmods will be in Vince?

That's what I thought too Vince.
Never been pressed but by me though. I bought it from my partner and i did all the work on it myself with a Bowmender Press. Never touches the riser only the limbs.
Van's was the original shop and they pressed it to put the peep in when he first bought it but they're pretty good up there.

seems like it would be very difficult to bend that tank of a riser. Kelly were you closing your eyes again? :)
See you this weekend?
