You might want to check the weather. Its supposed to get frigid late this weekend and early next week. At least that is what I saw on the weather channel last night. Highs in the teens and twenties next week. Sorry, no good news.

Mike,
If your talking about shore fishing, Flat Rock is the place to be about a half an hour before dark, the walleye are biting pretty well and maybe a steelie or two. Boat fishing, I haven't been out yet but I'm surely ITCHIN for some FISHIN.

Mike,
If you have a boat for it, a lot of walleyes have been caught over the last couple of weeks jigging in 5-7 feet of water off Stoney Point.
If your boat won't make it, you can usually find fish by following the channel egdes out into the lake this time of the year south of the river mouth. They'll hit jigs if you find them.
Its a little early for any numbers of fish to be coming into the river
but you might try in front of Humbug Marina just up from Erie Metro Park and the discharge at the Trenton Edison Plant if its generating electricity. If there's not smoke bellowing out of the stack, forget it.

Maumee River
check out Maumee Bait and Tackle http://maumeetackle.tripod.com/index.htm
Gary keeps it up dated, also the Maumee Perrysburg Bridge will be closed the next two week ends ,they are setting steel for the new bridge on the week ends, you would have 23/ 475 bridge to get to either side not much of a problem . quite a few small fish were cought today 18'' to 26''
