I have lived in this area for many years but have never pursued walleye on the saginaw river system. I do not own a boat but would like to find out directions on how to get some dinner from the shore? Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go and when? I will need specific information such as jigs Vs Bombers / Rattle vs non rattle etc. Does anyone know if they are cathing them now? Night, or can you go early in the morning (IE before patients) I appreciate any answers you can provide, and will recipricate with info upon my successes / failures.

Throughout the fall and winter walleyes are caught at night when there's open water by shore fishermen.
You can find places to fish from shore from Wickes Park all the way to the Z Bridge if you check around.
Best lures for night casting are Husky Jerks, Bombers and Rattlin Rogues.
