Ok, for those of you that do not know, this bow was at one time a target Martin Slayr with a crappy looking yellow/orange sunburst anodized riser and carbon fiber limbs. Thus it was going for nil...I picked it up, had the riser and limb pockets powdercoated with a matte black finish(very durable), and I traded the carbon fiber limbs for a set of camo limbs. I recieved both the bow and traded limbs yesterday, swapped them out this evening, tillered her up and timed her to perfection. Set at 64lbs and 29.5" draw length, this bow draws back perfectly.
I've got a set of xmods/axles/cables on order from Mi3dr and once I get them on I can imagine the possibilities.

Oh no...just a bow enthusiast. I considered this my project bow. I think my baby brother will like it. I also have a 2007 Bengal on the way. My dad should like that one.
By the way...Monroe just hit a grand slam...Tigers up 5-2!!

I promised a couple of good buddies of mine this past weekend that I really have to give the rest an honest try. I've been bad mouthing them for years, I hate the concept of the rest, but I figured I can't really put them down anymore unless I have actual personal experience.
I picked up that deluxe on Monday at MC sports in TC...only 30.00 on clearance.
It's starting to grow on me. The buddy who I promised that I'd give it a good go just sent me the B2 biscuit to try but I don't know...I like the one on it now. I've dremelled out a 5/16" wide and 3/16" deep groove on the bracket that holds the actual biscuit so I can get fletching clearance with my blazers. What I've found I actually like is that I can shoot this cock fletch out. This allows me to get my cable guard much closer to the arrow, which'll take a lot of torque off of the limbs. This should help it tune a lot better.
This bow will probably go to my brother...so I figured he's never shot anything else, so the whisker could be good for him to get started.

Doc. , I shoot cock feather out with the WB too . They are a good rest for hunting , and I'd recommend giving one a try during the season . That's where they really shine .
Maybe it's my form , but I can shoot just as accurate with a WB out to 40 yards as I can with my drop away rest . They are sensitive to grip torque for some setups .

Powdercoat is the way to go.
I have 100 bucks that says shooting a hooter shooter there would be ZERO difference in accuracy between dropaway and biscuit.

Why and where would you be getting fletching contact that you would have to alter the rest?
{lets do it lunger}

The bracket that actually holds the biscuit was ripping the tip off my blazers. I simply dremmeled that down and now it's good.
However I have went to a QAD Ultra Rest PRO and have found it to be lightyears ahead of the whiskerbiscuit in every possible function. WB got kicked to the curb and I'm never looking back, every hunting bow that I own from now on will have a QAD on it.

I'm sending my QAD back to Cabela's and put the biscuit back on . The lock up feature was only releasing part of the time ,even by hand . The last time I tried it on the bow , with the rest being setup exactly according to the directions , the fletchings struck the launcher and took it off . It struck the riser and came back towards me , nearly hitting me in the eye .:yikes: I took it off and boxed it up ...

Well I for one like the WB. When I can out shoot the rest I would probably go with a Golden Key target model or such.
The biscuit is fool proof literally. It shoots straight for spots and as far as I can see 3d as well. Did just get a new carter two shot though.
