I just bought a new bow (three weeks ago) with NAP drop away style rest (quick Tune). Right after getting it I noticed that the bottom fletching started getting black streaks and then eventually a fletching ripped. There was streaks on the rest. I took it back to the shop. It paper tested fine, the pro-staff increased the drop speed. Again it kept up with the clearance issue. My shooting is fine and it groups well but I dont't want to have to keep replacing fletchings (shoot 30 arrows/day). I took it again and was told it has how I was holding the bow. My big problem is that there is no other good bow shop around, if there was I would go somewhere else and buy a new rest. Should there be clearance problems? I think not, but I am no expert and would like some advice so when I go back I can be more firm and unfortunatley-demanding. I have no problem buyng a new rest, I even stated that. The bow shop does not think it's a big deal, I thought the whole point of drop away was so nothing touched the arrow as it was released.

I assume your shooting cock feather down? I had the same problems with another rest. Try shooting with the feather up or slightly angled left or right from the top. I had to rotate mine about 15 degrees from vertical to get a clean shot. Give them a tweak and then spray some footpowder on your rest area and give it a try.

I had a drop away qwiktune 4000, and I also noticed rubber from my duravanes on the bottom of the rest after about a 100 arrowws...But the bow shot good so I didn't think it was a problem.....If you finished filling out your profile people might be able to tell you where a bow shop is where you live...Just a suggestion...Mack
