I have a tourney there this coming Sunday... we are prefishing it Monday morning (myself, my 15 yr. old partner and his best friend). Just wondering if the lake is still being picky about burping up any other species of fish like it has been with the eyes.

Well, everyone EXCEPT Chris thought it was legal... and here's hoping they let me bump my own fish first.

Almost seems like more rock bass seem to be being caught lately. They are being caught. Mostly on soft plastic. I havent heard of any huge bass being caught but I am not omnicient. I know they are there.

A under size fish is just that. They let you try to get 14" and you could not get it either. Three witnesses saw what happened.
Good thing for you the DNR was not there. You would have paid the price.

Fished it3 weeks ago for 2 days fishing for walleyes caught alot of them. Durnig that time we also caught 10-15 Large and Small mouths.. 5-6 of them in the 18 inch range. The both were hitting on Hot N Tots on the weed beds 10-15 ft of water. south east side of the lake and on the Island on the west side, biggg pike along the public beach.....

My only point is Doug, that they didn't let me bump my own fish.

And I DID get it to touch the line.;)

Oh, and due to the wind... we did poorly today on Fremont... if it's anything like today on Sunday I will be staying home... what a hurricane it was out there!! 2-3 footers on the north side of the lake!

Yes,it touched the line with the mouth open. The DNR regulations say the mouth must be closed. Chris and Chris are not out to cheat you or anybody else. They do a good job of keeping it fair.
The big seen you made after the ordeal embarassed you and only you.
Please be a good loser next time.

Well, at least I didn't go out spinning my tires in the dirt like some others. And upon reflection, yes I made an a s s out of myself... Won't happen again.

Have you been on Fremont lately Doug? I couldn't find the weeds like there were last year... seemed a bit different to me.

You couldnt find the weeds on Fremont Lake?
Are you sure you fished Fremont Lake today?
Only thing I could say about that is those 20 foot ski boats with the big I/O's can really tear up some weeds IMO.
And also that whole weedline is pretty difficult to follow any how. Its like a giant scribble.

Well, the water on the east end was so roiled up due to the wind that you couldn't see much of anything in the water. Usually you can sight fish the weed line... not today! The south and western sides weren't so bad, but that's not where I wanted to be fishing today.

Hess was even worse.

Chris fished it Sunday and said the same thing about the weeds. He did get a 18" marble eye though.
I have not fished it since the opener of Walleye/pike. Hope we both have better luck than that day!
