Hi Guy's,
Long time reader first time poster.
I am getting back into fishing after about 25 years and the wife and I took a ride up to Tippy today to refresh my memory as to where the launch is and how to get to it.
The last time I was there they had opened the dam and the water level was about 15 ft lower than normal and we killed the walleye's but I was only about 15 at the time and my mind was on everything but fishing.
So what I am asking is if someone can give me a few pointers on where to fish and what to use.
Thanks in advance: Frank

We're glad that you finally decided to post and hope for a report w/photos when you return.

Tippy Dam Pond is one of the little known, best fishing lakes around. It holds smallies, 'eyes, specks, and pike. It does have woody structure near shore and great drops. The pond is studded with islands as you move upstream. All of these areas are decent for fishing.

Typical gear used for the species I named are all effective. Give spinners baits a try and don't neglect crankbaits as well as inflated nightcrawlers, a favorite of mine.
