I've heard some local reports of walleye @ night in Muskegon Lake, but nothing from members here.:16suspect I went out at 10pm last night, but didn't gas up before going so had to stay pretty close to the launch...which had too many floating weeds for me. Got back to the launch and talked to a couple guys that fought the weeds and picked up three nice fish. Seems like there's some radio silence going on at Fremont lake compared to last year...miss those reports.:D

Yeah, Fremont SUX! LOL!!

I also heard from a bait shop owner, as well as one of the Kent County CO's that walleye are being caught below the 6th street dam with some regularity.

Last week a couple of friends and I attempted to fish the big lake and ended up turning around after we got out of the channel. Three footers in a sixteen and half foot boat just wasn't worth it for us. We also heard the reports of eyes being caught in the Muskegon Lake and gave it a shot for an hour or so, but we ended up quitting because of the constant salads we had to clean up off the lines.

Floating weeds are always a problem at Muskegon this time of year. But the fishing can be worth the trouble.
