I'm heading up to fish the Grand River with my fiancee the weekend of August 5th. I'm a bass fisherman and have never hit the waters. Any help would be appreciated. I don't need GPS #'s, but some help as far as what to look for and general areas would be GREATLY appreciated. THANKS!!!

There are a ton of places between GH and GR that are overgrown with lilly pads, and hold quite a few fish. We typically fish the small bayou's and channels that have lots of cover, and have a good amount of depth in the middle. Frogs, senko's, power grubs, crawfish all hooked weedless seem to do fairly well.

If heading towards Grand Haven. That weekend is Coast Guard Fest...:yikes: :dizzy:
Since that is the case I would stay far away from in town boat launches....
