Folks Ive got a question. I have a Copper John Dead Nuts 3 pin sight I use for hunting targeted at 20, 30 and 40 yds. I recently have been doing more target shooting and have shots at 50 and 60 yards and have been just using the 40 and aiming a little higher. I know you can buy just the pins for $20 (seems high) HERE IS WHERE THE DUMB QUESTION MAY BE are they made specific? For example the 5 pin is bigger to accomodate the 5 pins and the 3 pin is smaller made 3 pins? I cant really tell from looking online if there is a size difference. Any constructive feedback would be appreciated.

I have the 3 pin version as well. Mine has 3 slots for the pins. I suspect the difference between the 3 and 5 pin is that the housing has 5 slots on the 5 pin version. Should not be a problem to share slots for the longer distance pins you're adding - they'll be far enough away from the others not to interfere. I wouldn't invest in a new sight - I'd simply add pins.

Good luck.

The 5 pin model is no different then the 3 pin version. The pins are set at different offsets so you can stack them closer to each other. I THINK I might have some extra pins at home that I could sell you alot cheaper then the factory cost. If your interested let me know.
